Ryan N. Hejmanowski

Your outcome matters.

Regardless of whether an estate plan, probate administration, or vigorous representation is needed for a drunk driving or another criminal defense charge, I believe that all clients deserve an experienced attorney who will provide a dedicated and single-minded focus and work to achieve the best outcome possible.  With years of experience, my practice is focused on estate planning and administration, criminal defense, and family law.

Estate Planning and Probate & Estate Administration

After experiencing the deaths of several close family members recently, I am uniquely aware of the importance of having a will or trust. The problems that come from not having a will or trust can be extraordinary.  As an Illinois estate planning attorney, empathy and compassion are my approach to handling your estate plan to make sure that your life’s work is handled the way you want.

Similarly, I know well the issues faced by executors, estate administrators, and personal representatives in probate and estate administration for a loved one’s estate.  In most cases, those serving these roles will be doing so for the first time.  If you are to serve in such capacity, I appreciate that you will likely have many questions about your duties, especially if issues arise concerning the specific distribution of assets.  I’ll be there to help and to answer your questions.  In many cases, in addition to handling all legal matters, I will also help by preparing agreements among beneficiaries in situations in which there is no will or when specific asset distribution matters are unclear.

DUI, Drunk Driving and Other Criminal Charges

My criminal defense practice is devoted to working tenaciously to prove the legal innocence of clients at every step.  This includes seeking to exclude evidence where possible, seeking a dismissal or reduced charges, and fighting for not guilty verdicts at trial.

I know the consequences of a criminal conviction, and work hard to achieve the best outcome for every client. If you or a family member has been charged with a crime, I would invite you to call me as soon as possible so that I can begin protecting your rights (or those of your family member).

Family Law

My family law practice is focused on serving clients in matters involving divorce, custody and parenting time, and spousal support and child support.  If you are in need of a dedicated lawyer for these matters, please call me to learn about how I can help you.

My Second Amendment Practice

I am an avid shooter and have been for decades. Becoming an NRA Certified pistol instructor in 2017 was an achievement and honor. After that certification, I became a Concealed Carry instructor for Illinois. When I’m not in the office, or the courtroom, you will most likely find me honing my shooting skills or instructing people on the proper, safe use of firearms for sport and self-defense.
